Kristin Wilson, RN, LMT Oregon #28265

Hello! I offer manual therapy, for specific issues, as well as maintenance, including deep work on the mat with clients clothed, or traditional table style massage. I do very focused and specific work, aiming to find the source of pain or imbalance and correct it.

HOW I CAN HELP

The following issues are things I regularly treat: neck/shoulder pain, low back pain, sciatic pain, rib issues (especially from MVA airbag impact), TMJ tension, pelvic dysfunction (all genders), tennis and golfer’s elbow, thoracic outlet syndrome, among others. I’m confident you will feel less pain and stiffness after one session.

I also offer scar tissue remediation, as abdominal surgeries, gender affirming surgeries, and giving birth, can create fascial pulls, that then cause pain and restrictions (even in distant areas of the body), and can interrupt digestion and reproduction.

My prices are all inclusive and may include cupping, heated scraping, stretching, Myofascial release, positional release, reciprocal inhibition, Thai massage, and orthopedic work.

Located in south Eugene, near Provisions South (Hilyard and 32nd), I do business from my home. The address will be supplied after booking.

MY APPROACH

Personally, I am not a talker during massage except to ask a few questions and give some directions. I keep my ego in check, so am very receptive to changes you need or requests. Because you know your body better than me, I respect your experience and truly want to know what’s working for you and what isn’t. Your input is valued.

Collaboration, consent, communication, and compassion, are cornerstones of my approach to bodywork.

My promise to you is that I will do my utmost to create a safe and welcoming space for every person, no matter your age, size, ethnicity, or if LGBTQ+, differently abled, neurospicy, or have trauma history. I commit to treating every person with unconditional positive regard.

PRICES

Two sliding scale appts per month are reserved for those in need, without funds. Just ask when the next available one is.

Payment in cash is appreciated, as I do not accept credit cards.

First time appt requires a 90 min session.

$100/60 min

$130/90 min

$190/120 min

10 minutes free massage will be added to your session with each referral you send my way, after their first massage is complete.

WHY I DO WHAT I DO

This culture is stressful. We hold a lot of tension in our bodies that can cause pain and dysfunction. Three chronic conditions I thought were just part of getting old were resolved when I went to massage school. That’s when I began to appreciate the power of massage. I want to do that for others.

I also want to be the stop you make, before you try surgery or other invasive healthcare. Often, soft tissue work can remedy pain without going under the knife.

I will take this moment to make it extremely clear that I only do therapeutic massage and do not engage in, nor tolerate, any sexual jokes or actions.

TESTIMONIALS

“I was skeptical about mat massage but I cannot deny the results.” -Kristina F.

“This is what I’ve always wanted…..someone to press this deep into my shoulders and stretch them out.” - Carrie E.

“The pain is 50% less than it’s been for months.” - Kylie A. (Athlete, the day after her first 90 minute session.)

“There is a new world of hip mobility for me! I was looking forward to being very sore. I feel more like the Tin Man after they oiled him! New muscles are sore, ones that couldn’t get used before! I think that massage has made it easier to exercise. My sumo squats are way deeper now! I swear I can even walk faster!” - Roy H.

“I used to have to stop three or four times on the way to the bathroom to lean on something and breathe through the pain in my hip. Now I walk easily and barely get a twinge, if anything. And my husband loves you. He says I stopped being grumpy when I started seeing you.” - Linda R.

“Why would anyone ever want to do massage any other way [than on the mat?] I never want a table massage again. That was so deep!” - Carrie E.

“I have hope for the first time in years. The pain at the base of my skull has been debilitating and unrelenting for so long.” - Janelle M.

“The tension and pain in my mid back is gone this morning and I swear I can even breathe better. Amazing!” - Rhonda O. (This was after a two hour session. She had a lung lobe removed a decade ago and has suffered daily with pain from back tension related to the surgery ever since, despite regular massages.)

“There’s no way anyone could get in around my shoulder blades with their hands like you can with your feet. This is the most relaxed I’ve ever been without meds.” Kim D. (After a three hour mat/table combo session.)

“This is similar to deep tissue without it being as painful and it gets all the spots you don’t usually get in traditional massage- side of hips, top of shoulders, deep into the side of the neck.” - Kim E.

“Kristin is such a wonderful massage therapist. She has exceptional intuition to understand what's going on in your body. She communicates just the right amount to assess how you're feeling throughout the massage. Her compassion is evident in the way she massages and is able to tune into your pain to alleviate it. I felt amazing after my massage with Kristin and she really addressed some major pain I was having.” - Bridget Smith, trainer and owner of Muscle For the Journey.

“I really liked that. It was completely different. It’s deeper than the table massages.” - Mathew M.

“I’ve never had my traps worked that thoroughly.” - Jennifer B.

“After my last appt here I went to the chiropractor and she just kept saying ‘WOW! WOW!’ at every move because I was so loose!” - Linda H.

“When I used to walk down a long cement hallway at work my one leg would just hit the floor so hard with my heel striking hard and loud with every step. But now, even two weeks after my last [mat] massage I noticed there is no hard hit on one side anymore. Now they are even!” - Sarah Z.

“That [mat floor session] was better than chiropractic! Relaxing and rejuvenating.” - Kathy M.
